Custom Timber Frame Kitchen

The details

Our clients came to Foremost with a big idea of how they wanted their kitchen to be customized and designed. Exposing the existing hand-hewn beams in their 1800’s farmhouse was like opening a present on Christmas Day. The craftsmanship and rustic beauty truly added such a design element to the complete upgraded space. Adding custom cabinetry throughout made this space functional and ideal for any chef.

Features & Challenges of the Project

• Expanded the footprint by 8 square feet to accommodate for additional space needed
• Adding an additional structural beam to help carry to existing roof load
• Exposed the existing chimney to use as a design element, required repointing of masonry

• Crown Point Cabinetry
• Kitchen Floor Tile: Grigio 24x24 and 12x24 used
• Countertop and Sink: Soapstone by Shaker Hill Granite
• Kitchen Island: Quarter Sawn Oak using craftsman-style construction
• Kitchen Island Countertop: Platinum Sky Leathered Granite
• Pantry Cabinets: Hand-brushed milk paint – Color: Buttermilk over Maple wood
