Farmhouse Refresh
Enfield, NH
The Details
This 200-year-old cape was in need of some upgrading. The homeowners were looking for a full kitchen and bath remodel with goals to maintain the character of the home while updating features. Foremost was able to assist them in developing a layout and design style that worked for the homeowners without sacrificing the existing farmhouse charm. Utilizing the original exposed beams, staining the wood trim, using oil rubbed bronze features, and choosing specific paint colors resulted in the rustic farmhouse feel that the homeowners were hoping for.
While discussing the remodel, the homeowners expressed the need to update the closet space off the primary bedroom. Sacrificing a portion of the screened in porch was a solution to adding a sizeable walk-in closet without sacrificing space from the primary bedroom.
Having the ability to age in place was a large motivator in this remodel. Reconfiguring the layout of the bathroom and placing a walk-in shower with built in bench was a must.
